Recovering background from Maxtor Shared Plus NAS Drive?

I have a Maxtor Shared Plus Drive, it's a NAS drive. I am have problems using it. I am getting "Network Path Not Found" message, and I don't know how to reconnect back to the grating. I've tried to reset the drive, power off the drive, reset the router, nil seems to work. So, I would resembling to back out adjectives the datas that I've store on the drive and like to eradicate all background on it than replace it. Is there a mode to connect the drive directly to a computer instead of a router, so I can back up adjectives my data?
