Recovering facts on a 'bad' strong drive?

I was trying to kind a back up fence on my 2nd hard drive using Partition Magic 8.0 and it needed a restart to apply the change. After restarting the comp. open Part. Magic and see my 2nd HD reduced on size from 276GB(300GB HD) total to 128GB and it also say "Bad"and can't do anything partitionwise. When I check for my data totaled around 200GB, within are only 2 workbook files on the drive D (128GB HD) which is basicly empty. When I use Recover the Files program it shows a physical 0 drive beside 276GB and D drive with 128GB. Am I missing something relateover the moonhe partitioning the drive that I need to loosen or do it differently so I can get the notes back? Im trying beside Recover the Files program but it's taking forever meaning more after 3 days run and then friezes when it get close maybe 80% done recovering. Or possibly I'm using the wrong program for my situation. This program says it recovers delete files or it recovers files from formated partitions by mistake which it wasnt the problem

Has a mixture of software you can choose from. Some are free and some cost. However, most of the ones that cost give you free trials (some as long as two weeks). Make sure you pay particular attention to. Good Luck! Source(s): http://www.freebyte.com
It sounds like you own drive errors
Try doing a chkdsk for bad sector
Do not try a chck dsk, it could erase the data you own on there thinking in attendance are bad sector when there are not. Try first the disk management tool and making your partition that you created active. If they are involved and thats not the problem you might want to look into using a data recovery service so you dont risk losing notes that you still have. Here is a place specifically having a spring Dutch auction, there offering recoveries at 50% past its sell-by date, which it normally costs $299, so partially off of that aint impossible. Here is the place
