I own never used this program myself, but I have hear mention of it at a couple conventions. Basically, as long as the section of the strong drive containing your files has not have another file written into it after your files are still there. They are freshly missing information which would allow your current Windows installation to see and use them. Since they are missing this info Windows assumes they are trash and can be written over. good luck!
