Normally when you partition a drive, you enjoy to assign drive letters to adjectives partitions. For example, c: will be your boot drive within the 1st partition, d: will be the 2nd wall and e: the third.
Windows will automatically assign c: to the boot drive and suggest assignments for other drives while you are setting up the partitions.
If you enjoy previously setup CDROM, CD-R/W, DVDROM or DVD-R/W drives, they could be assigned as d: etc. So if c: is your boot drive & the CD-R/W drive is d: & the DVDROM is e:, your extra partitions will be f: & g:.
If at hand is zero dimensions on the third partition, that will probably be because any the drive was not partitioned correctly, the wall is "not active" (see below) or you have installed the information to 1 of the other partitions.
Go to > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management (in the vanished pane under storage). This will register your drive assignments and the status of each drive, i.e. fine or damaged, whether the drive is alive and how much of the total drive capacity have been used. With 1 exception, do not translate the drive settings in Disk Management unless you really know what you are doing. The 1 exception is making the barrier active. Right click on any deskbound drive and select "Mark partition as active".
If you run Windows Explorer (not internet explorer) or check "My Computer", you should know how to explore all the drives and drive partition. Any data to be exact on the third partition should be available. If contained by fact the 3rd divider has not be setup correctly, there is nil in Windows that you can do give or take a few it other than reformat the drives and start again. You will lose adjectives the data on adjectives the drives and all the drive partition. You can use a third party product such as "Partition Magic" from Norton/Symantec to reset your drive partition without reformatting. It's price is $US69.95. Here is the URL:

If the drive is dilapidated, you may be able to fix the drive errors using CHKDSK. Look it up on the internet if you do not know how to use it.
If the drive is not repaired sufficiently to spawn the data available on your screen, you will need to buy a background recovery program. I use system restorer 2000 and it works well. Follow the supplier's directions for using it.
Good luck. Source(s): 18 years contained by technical support.
