Can reformatted background be recovered from a harddrive?
My computer initially had Windows 2003 server when first built contained by 2004, then XP contained by 2006. The power box died in April 07 and I've simply just in a minute resurrected it. My father installed Vista over the old XP system and files and in a minute the harddirve is formatted and only have Vista. All of my music, images, documents, etc own now be lost.
I've been questioning up recovery software and information on data recovery, and I've gotten mixed information. Some utter "just download this free app and it will fix it for you". I tried one, and it did not work. Others speak, "Oh, no its impossible, it cannot be done!"
I'm going to put this concisely. I want to recover my lost information. How can I possibly recover this information that has be written over?

its possible, but its extremely hard to do.. i wouldn't even bother trying.. ably it helps to know how a intricate drive works, little magnets on a metal plate that spins around. the magnets only are moved when facts is written, so it might still be there, but you have need of to find a way to read it, which idk how to do
