Trying to Recover Data sour SATA Hard Drive!! Help!!?
I ran HDD Regenerator (Trial Version), and it Rejuvenated ONE Sector!!
Now, I only just ran SpinRite, and it shows in recent times ONE 'Defective' Sector on my Hard Drive.
Now, just to consent to you Know, this is my a Secondary Hard Drive, not my C:Windows Drive. This is a Western Digital 160GB SATA Hard Drive. I've had it for a short time ago 2 years, and never had Problems beside it. Until a couple weeks ago, went my PC would Boot.
Now, I disconnected the Drive, and it Booted. So, I Know that my 160GB WD Hard Drive have something Wrong with it.
Now here's the big Problem: I used this Drive to Store ALL of my BIG, Important Files!! I found that I can Connect the Power to it, boot to Windows, consequently Connect the SATA Data Cable after Windows has booted. Then, I can See the Drive contained by My Computer.
But the Label is Changed to 'Local Disk', instead of what I named it Originally.
Now, furthermore, I can't Access it!! It doesn't Open!! And if I stir into the Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager, it says my Hard Drive is Working Fine!! Yet, I can't even Get into it, or See ANY of the Files on it!! WTF?!?
How do I Get my Files rotten of this Drive?!? What Software Options are out there for Data Recovery?!?
And Most Importantly, How can I ACCESS the Hard Drive, and See the Files on it, so I CAN dispatch them over to a New Drive?!?
"> You can try a program like Date Rescue PC
If you can't access it yourself, you can distribute it to a recovery firm like DriveSavers, Total Recall, ActionFront or Seagate Data Recovery, they will quote you on recovery - it is imagined to be many hundreds of dollars. Source(s): http://www.prosofteng.com/products/data_…
