I hold a hp compaq laptop. Not booting. How do I recover HDD facts using a usb nouns to another Dell Lapto?
My Hp laptop started giving troubles and and I wanted to repair the MS XP OS and this cause a condition of NO Booting despite several efforts. The I fixed to connect the hp HDD through USB Drive to my new Dell laptop. Iam seeing the folders but they are protected by my antediluvian Hp OS and not allowing me to copy or transfer files. Not giving oppertunity to endow with the old HP password also since (laptop)system changed. Whats the road out?
I dont want to involve a Technician since I have Credit card and other safe and sound data.

Depend if you encrypted your background or not when you first created the user account.
If yes, next stop now because you will be wasting time.
If no, after you can try taking ownership of the folders.
