How do you recover lost background?
I typed a book on my computer and saved it.Then I have a problem with the computer and call the technician. He said he did not touch my files but I could not find the one with the book though I go through every file.To complicate matter, I have a different computer very soon.The technician said that all he did be transfer the information from the previous computer to the hot one.My Print Artist files and some photo files do not open because he removed the program. I cannot find the ingenious CDs. In spite of all of these adversities, is within a program that will help me to recover lost data- possibly my book? Or, are they lost forever and I should forget them/start over?I own some of my writing on websites but not my computer. How can I retrieve them? I am a dummy so please tell me step by step, as simply as possible.

I am not sure you can recover tthem. but it is worth trying near these 2 programs.
