Recovering facts sour a external har drive?
Is it possible to recover data from an external intricate drive that has stopped working?
I be trying to copy some stuff onto it but for whatever defence the hard drive have stopped recieving the data. It already have a whole hoard of stuff on it that I had put on in that a while ago and I figured that the worst that could arise is the data I be transfering would be corrupted and I'd have to start it again.
But, in a minute I can't access the external hard drive and whenever I try to window (vista) tells me that I'm going to hold to format the hard drive earlier I use it. Now there's no f**king way I'm going to do that as I hold 5 years worth of photos/movies I've taken and are very dear to me and this hard drive be meant to be my backup!! I'm using a Seagate FreeAgent 320GB drive.
Thanks for any give support to. I'm kinda hoping it's possible to access the stuff that wasn't being moved/edited as (pressumably) it wasn't human being edited and would therefore still be ok. Cheers.

You could try using http://www.stellarinfo.com/partition-rec… to recover your files. There's a free trial available.
If the Allocation table of the drive is corrupted, You cannot use vista to retrieve anything on the disk. You will enjoy to take it to professional shop that specializes within data recovery. I hope the information is very prized to you, because it is gonna cost about $1500 to bring it back
