How can I recover information from a formated complicated disk?

can i do it with winhex? if so how? i dont know how to use the software even so havent had time. are within any tutorials on how to use winhex to recover files?
Answers:
Depends on how the disk was formatted. A full wipe will overwrite the drive next to random background (probably zeroes) in multiple pass, and make it in close proximity impossible to do.

A typical (quick) NTFS/XFS/EXT2FS format will just replace the filesystem monthly, which is basically an index of everything on the drive. You can recover files using hex editors, but this is a correctly advanced process. Professional services can probably recover it for a fee, but you enjoy to ask yourself if the data is worth man recovered.
