Can't recover facts. Folder permission/ownership problem contained by window xp user explanation?
My laptop was running window XP Professional with service pack 2 crashed as its motherboard be dead. I took out the firm drive and connected with usb to another laptop (running window vista ultimate sp1) to recover and copy notes (My Documents & Favourites) .
When I tried to open folder of user “rock” (administrator) below “Documents & Setting”, it doesn’t open and showing size nil byte. Couldn't copy as it says "access denied". I tried by taking ownership of folder, it works but problem is nearby are too many folder within My Documents and taking ownership thing work individual on folder not on subfolder or files, means I own to change the ownership setting of every report and folder in “My Document” and it will thieve ages.
Is there any trick/shortcut or any software that can apply ownership change to all subfolders and folder in “My Document”.
I will appreciate your assist and assistance.
