Recovering information! Same PC or not?
When we talk almost "Recovering files from a HDD or any portable stick etc" do we mean that this portable (or not device) should be on one and the same pc so sata can be restored?
What i parsimonious is that for example if i have a stick of 1 GB foul of Evanescence photos and somehow for a principle i delete them. I trush my computer and buy another one. Can i restore data?
Or if someone loses a micro SD card. can the one that will find it, to restore some information of the past?
Logically thinking, the principal HDD of the PC is what keeps the "0101101" (etc) information so when reading that same stick, it can actyally recover older files.
That question come up because i have have a stick of 8GB, fouled it. delete everything and then know how to recover everything though it was completely not taken! (on the same PC).

you can recover data from any memory stic or HDD or any C to D or E drive to any drive close to C or D or E by recovery software but only one point to remember recovering drive and recovered files saving drive should be seperate drive. you can recover from HDD to Stic or Stic to HDD.

The computer does not event. If the photos or data be on a USB memory stick or microSD card, compact flash etc. then a recovery program running on ANY computer might be capable of restore them. Whomever has the portable device may attempt to restore delete files.

It is instead making a note that the space taken up by that folder is now available for use again. The background is still located there until up to date data is written to that nouns. There are utilities out that that attempt to locate data i.e. still there after mortal deleted. However, once modern data is written over that same nouns the old notes can no longer be recovered.
There are utilities out there that will do surety deletes and formats by writing over the delete areas with blank up to date data do that the prehistoric data is no longer near.
