My home notebook have crashed, I hold 6 discs that are supposed to assist me recover my notes. Can any1 explain how to?

My computer is a dell, loaded with window xp. I went through alot to carry these discs from dell but none of them actually speak the word recovery on them. Can anyone explain to me the process of recovery and how to use these discs.

Thanks
Answers:
Use the disk with the operating system on it by restarting your computer, inserting the disk, and restarting. If this doesn't work, you might own to go into your bios and sort your CD/DVD/CDRW/DVDRW your first boot option.
More than expected you have a recovery separator on the computer. Try this:
