Recovering notes from a Toshiba 2.5" SATA HDD?
I have an Acer Aspire 5520 that have died from a cpu failure. It come with a Toshiba 2.5" SATA HDD and I am wanting to recover some prominent files. I know that the best way is to buy a laptop strong drive adapter kit, but my quiz is which one will be compatible? I found this one http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sk... but it says it allows a 2.5" IDE laptop drive to work as a 3.5" IDE drive. If I am reading this right, this is not what I want since the drive is SATA. My desktop is IDE so I am looking for an adapter that will allow my 2.5" SATA drive to plug into my IDE cable on my desktop and run as a subsidiary storage device so I can just copy the files to a flash drive. I am in recent times a little confused when I turn upside down for this and don't want to spend the money and it be the wrong adapter. Is there anyone beside experience doing this that can point me in the right direction? Thank you within advance.
