Any solutions for recovering information past its sell-by date a dropped external sturdy drive?
My mom dropped my hard drive while it be plugged into her computer. It was not transferring but be turned on and plugged in (meaning it be spinning but probably not that quickly). It's a simpletech simpledrive 500gb. I know it's unlikely, but theres quite a bit of notes on there i'd similar to to get my hand on, anyone have any solutions that aren't contribute it to geek squad for 10000000 dollars?

Your best bet is to try to connect it to your computer as others have pointed out. depending on the hard drive does it work? does the computer certify it?
remove the drive from the external shell
plug it into the pc and question paper it
you may needa ide to notebook converter cable if its not a full size easier said than done drive or sata drive
it might be an issue with the external box
