Ok, so i cannot boot up windows on my laptop..
I believe i hold the black screen of demise error..
I have tried booting rotten a vista recovery disk, booting in risk-free mode, and trying to repair the problem via startup repair. I also ran a diagnostic and found an firm drive error.
I have be searching around an found some different ways i could possibly recover date on the hard-drive which include: Freezing the hardrive for a few hours and consequently starting up, and using dd rescue or knoppiz linux boot cd.
My question is what is the best method of recovering my notes on my hard-drive without sending it surrounded by to a professional?
Answers:
BSOD is commonly known as the BLUE Screen Of Death.
Take out the rock-hard drive from the laptop and use an external hard disk paddock. Attach it to another computer through the USB port. You can copy your files from there.
You should try to connect your frozen drive to another PC.
If it is available then you can try to recover your files beside Easy Drive Data Recovery software:

It uses unique modern algorithms to recover files that other software any recovers incorrectly or is unable to detect.
The freezing method have been prearranged to work but is a LAST resort. Get any linux distro and boot from that on cd as your first (and easiest) method You will need a USB firm drive to transfer your background to if it is visible. Failing that you are moving into the realm of file recovery programmes. When you gain up and running may I soggest the following. Download Puppy Linux and burn to a CD. Then install it following the instructions onto an dull USB key. You van use that to boot most computers by varying the bios boot order to USB. Always a handy tool to hold around.
You can make it into an external drive and plug it into another computer.
