How do you recover facts from a data-DVD?

I have a dataDVD which my computer will with the sole purpose read sometimes. Other times it says it's blank. I know within is data on it, it used to work, and occassionally my computer will read it. But when I try to copy the notes I get a cyclic redundancy error. When I try to run the programs it say some of the data is missing. Are near any programs out there that will recover lost notes like this?

If it's scratched, in attendance is an old photographers trick that's worked for me.

Get some cooking spray (just the regular one). Sray a tiny bit on it and smooth it out on the disk next to a really soft cloth. You have to really smooth it out, to the point where on earth you can't tell you sprayed it next to anything. What that does is fill the scratch with the grease to the point where the drive will certainly be able to read it.

It kinda also depends on the mark so if it's a big or deep adequate scratch, it might not work.

Try it consequently, and copy everything to another disk, QUICK!
Is the disk scratched? Even slightly? If so, there is not much you can do in the order of this.

Also if it is not scractched, it sounds like at hand is an issue with the road the disk was any burnt, or it could be the drive. You might want to try it within another computer/drive and see if it can be read there. This used to be a trick for floppy disks that might not read surrounded by a computer.

If this data is critical, after you might want to pull the disk out and see nearly sending it to one of the data recovery companies, that specialize contained by recovering data. But this can become an expensive issue concrete quick.

So you requirement to determine how easy it is to re create what is on the disk, and if it is worth it to you to transport it off, or only just recreate the data yourself.

More than promising, you will find the time and effort to recreate the background is cheaper in the long run, instead of trying to recover the disk or paying for someone to recover it.

And tools similar to ISO buster and others that are designed to COPY/RIP/BACKUP a disk will not help you, since your computer already have a problem reading the disk. These tools are going to be a waste of time and application.
