How do I recover the facts rotten my USB tricky drive?
I've had the drive for around 4 years in a minute. It's a simple 2.5" 12 GB external hard drive. I bought it stale eBay and used it as storage for some of my iTunes music files. Recently, it hasn't been showing up surrounded by My Computer or as a hard drive contained by the Device Manager. What it does show is a USB Mass Storage Device with an Code 10 error (device can not be started). I desire I could say when it certainly stopped but I don't know since he last time I updated my iPod. Now that I remember, I haven't see it in at lowest possible 2 months. There have be no recent power surges that I can think of within that time. Well, one, but it was already unrecognized consequently. The main PC HD have been shabby by power failures and bounced spinal column, but never the external drive. How did it pass up the most important and go to the backup? WTF? The drive is spinning and the green power street light is on, but it just can't come across to install itself and boot up. There is no update for the driver. I'm thinking it is a driver/firmware problem, though. I heard more or less the freezer myth. I actually purely put it in the freeer within a ziploc bag an hour ago, but I don't know if that's in reality gona help the problem. If I can a moment ago copy the files and buy a new drive, I'd be well-mannered. The thing is...how do I attain it to copy?
This same thing happen to my floppy drive a couple times a while back. It be unrecognized and then it only just started up again with no work on my behalf. Sometimes my laptop will not sanction its CD-RW/DVD and after a restart, will be ok...and it never had a surge and will be on power : / Bewildering....
