How do I recover facts from a tricky drive after motherboard dead loss.?
My brother has a PC that just this minute had it's motherboard die. The PC isn't worth repairing as it's outmoded, and a new PC have been purchased. I'm curious as to how to shift about helping him find hit data past its sell-by date the hard drive. I tried finding this information online, but adjectives I found was a bunch of crap that didn't really answer my cross-examine. Basically my plan was to basically install both hard drives surrounded by his PC, but I'm unsure how it would work since technically there would be two sets of drivers, OS, etc.
Does anyone own a plan of action or a obedient link/resource on how to go in the order of doing this in the best course?

you can buy an external harddrive case which make a normal harddrive into an external harddrive. that can be sympathetic for getting your data rotten, and having extra storage. you can also install the matured harddrive into the new computer. external harddrive cases connect through usb. they are jammy to install and use, and farily inexpensive.
if you do install both, a menu will come up asking what OS to use (operating system). Click on the newer one and in you OS, here will be a new harddrive near all of your hoary data
Move the drive to another PC and install as a slave on like bus as the master.
Reboot the PC which should auto-detect the added drive.
Use Windows Explorer/My Computer to retrieve your files.

Install the ancient drive as a slave drive in the clean pc. You will be capable of access all the facts, but of course you will not be capable of boot to the old o/s or use any of the programs that are on the behind the times drive.
You could copy the data from the behind the times drive to the new one. But the best chance would be to just walk off the old drive surrounded by the pc and fence it for additional storage space. Delete the elderly o/s as you will no longer be using it. And I repeat - DO PARTITION the hard drives. Not singular does it help coordinate the drives, but if you ever have to reformat the C drive the other partition will be unaffected (no information loss). You don't really have a big problem. I do this adjectives the time when I build computers.
set the old thorny drive to slave (you have to alter the pullover settings on the old drive).most knotty drives have a sign with a diagram for master /slave/ and so on. if yours doesn`t you can in general find the information you want on the relevant website according to the brand of drive you wish to recover..

Good day, 2 things, u can steal the old harddrive from the deceased computer and put it into the new computer and use it as a inferior disk. If u want u can backup all yur stuff on a cd, format the drive and a short time ago use the old HD as space or u can install another window operating system on it eg windows 2000 pro
Second piece u can do is buy a IDE Encolsure and pu the old harddrive into it and u can plug on the barred enclosure using the USB Drive. U can backup the stuff on a cd, format the drive and u can store other stuff on it. Laterz!
