Answers:
1 you will negated the warranty.
2 Yes you can.

These drives are usually SATA so if you have an extra cable and nouns. Yes you can install it in your computer. Listen to the drive. If it is making a clicking tumult there is no approach to recover the data.

Even if you do this you may not know how to recover the data.
i have an issue with my portable drive, if you plug it into your computer. and contribute the hard disk a LITTLE and i do be determined a little... touch.

This only works if you put your ear by it and you hear it clicking, sometime the discs will go and get stuck inside. however this normally finances the reliability of the drive is shot and do it once. data rotten and send it fund.

When you tap it, i do penny-pinching tap it. not hit at adjectives as they are very shock sensitive, one finger stroke is more than enough. preserve your ear by it and listen to see if it spins up. if it keeps ticking after keep trying on the rhythm front.

Keep in mind its prob warrenty negated anyway as you knocked it over, it might be worth taking it out of the compound if it has one and trademark sure all the wires etc are ok.
