How do i recover my lost information from my firm disk which lost due to a power fiasco?
i was working on my PC as usual, suddenly the power go out but when started my computer later, it wasn't working. the window might have be corrupted so i re-installed the windows but later i found that all my information from the hard disk have been vanished.... how do i recover it? please give an account me because i have abundantly of important facts on my PC. please help. my PC contain adjectives types of files ranging from documents to music files. please abet?

HI, If you have re-installed Windows after this will have re-formatted your unyielding drive effectively deleting everything that be on it. However, you may still be able to take some of your data files wager on using a recovery tool such as Recuva (from Piriform), It is free so well worth trying.

Did you do a format while reinstalling your OS or did you upgrade it ?
If you upgraded it : It is possible that your My documents own moved away to some other place. since older version of windows save it in C:\Windows\Desktop format --> The upgraded interpretation might be in C:\Windows001\Desktop. The same is the travel case with XP Where you can find it beneath documents and settings. The easiest way to locate the files is by doing a full prod on your computer by giving wild strings (Search for *.mp3 files... Since it is possible that you might not hold lot of files after the install, you can find them
If you have formatted it: Take your not easy disk to the nearest data recovery shop and they might recover it for you or you can try this freeware http://www.snapfiles.com/php/download.ph… to receive files from your hard disk.

If you reformatted your drive before reinstalling Windows, afterwards a lot of it's probably gone for honourable, seeing as you overwrote lots of files.
