Yes you can.
For cruicial and really vital data Take aid of professionals.
"Get Data Back for FAT" & "Get Data Back for NTFS" are windows base softwares for recovery.
*Yes it can*
There is ways but you would have to attain a professional to do it becuase i dont know how to do it
if it quick formatted next yes no problem. However the format during the windows install isnt a snatched format. Several programs will do it for you, if it is a quick format, which is doubtful if you installed window.
Yes it is possible. Ive used software before but haven't used it very soon in relatively some time and cannot remember the name. I do remember the background being recovered within fragments. Im not sure if this was the software or the background on the drive corrupted from the format. My answer to your question?........Get a 2gb hurdle drive and backup first. Good luck.
I've seen software that will do it, but I agree you should ask a professional first. If you do it yourself, be aware that the ones I've see require a second hard drive (set as "slave") to write the information to. I'm not sure if it will write to a compact disc or not if you only own one hard drive, but I suppose it would be worth a try. Just don't be surprised if you stipulation to get a second HDD and install it as slave to fashion the recovery software work. As for what software, just google "facts recovery software." That should get you deeply of results. You could also try "free data recovery software." I'm not sure if the free ones work definite well, but I remember one forum user cliché it worked for them.

Its worth a try.
Do NOT use the disk for anything.
The software is available, but the ones that stand the best chance are Discs that cost approx 69 and 99 dollars US. I do not enjoy the references here, but this stuff is the Linux base OSD recovery discs, they do everything, and the 99 dollar disc has the full 10 user License background recovery, and it does everything else.
