Do a search on the web for "data recovery software". There are plenty of programs out near. In my experience, the shareware versions singular let you recover files no larger than roughly speaking 64kb.
I know that recently within is a worm that will hide adjectives you file that will kind you feel your files are adjectives deleted but space used still duplicate.

- If you could get into skylight, then it's natural for just showing adjectives System and Hidden file......after change the attribute into run of the mill

- if you could not get into skylight then boot beside any boot disk that understand NTFS (most of xp use ntfs wallet system) to clear all mysterious attribute.......(Harren Boot Disk is the choice)

....more option but long to write....
Well, don't you enjoy an antivirus software and antispy softwares?

You should download a good antivirus software, similar to AVG Free or "Antivir" (both are free). Antivir is available at http://www.free-av.com And AVG is available at: http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php/doc/…
But, only ONE antivirus software on your computer - never more than one, please!!

Then, you also should download a honest antispy software as well. Download "Spybot Search & Destroy", "Spyware Terminator" and "a-squared Free" - and scan your computer for malwares, worms, trojans, etc. All these softwares are also free as ably.

And do not forget to upgrades all softwares regulary every hours of daylight, if possible.

Good luck!
