Best process to recover older delete files from strong drive?
So here is the scenario... my hard drive be running super low on space on my hard drive. I transferred most/all of my files to my ipod and until that time I got a destiny to transfer it rotten lucky me got my ipod stolen. Sooo... I want to recover my firm drive, but some of the files are soooooo old and I downloaded rosetta stone and it have possibly override some files. My brother and I tried to recover some files with an awesome recovery program but it didnt work.
So I involve to know my options. I'm also prepared to pay to do something to possibly recover my files... they are really considerable.
So options? BTW I live surrounded by the boston area so if youre around here and know of places that will do it please permit me know!!
"> If you have already tried a recovery program, I would articulate your best bet would be to carve the files using a (aptly named) profile carver. It reads headers and footers of a folder and basically puts them backbone together. Though if you're trying to put mp3s back together which it sounds close to, that is usually more difficult and may not work. A fully clad free one is called scalpel, here's the relation: http://www.digitalforensicssolutions.com/Scalpel/
There's no graphical user interface, but if you're truly willing to do the work, afford that a shot. There are other file carvers that cost money, but I know from experience that this one works and it is free. Source(s): http://www.digitalforensicssolutions.com/Scalpel/
Recover My Files is a pretty correct program, http://www.recovermyfiles.com/
