Some software is totally free - check out to spawn sure its safe though - look for digital certificate and be wary of downloading .exe files...

Most commercial software option provide a free trial - it can be worthwhile downloading one of those to at least see what can still be recovered. if the totall free optiosn cant find it, afterwards at least you know if its worth pursuing next to a paid for route.
