The main factor is how much you've used the card.
If you'd not here the card on a shelf for the year and come back to it a year next I'd put your percentage at pretty good but for almost certain.
If you've used it pretty much constantly (as appears to be the crust here) I'd put the chance at pretty darn close to 0%. Especially if you've chock-a-block the card (can't put any more on it) more than once.
Either way if you would similar to to try to restore the file afterwards you can try a utility called Pandora File Recovery (see the sources for the network site). It does well plenty for hard drives and should do fine for memory cards and USB Drives.
