Answers:
you can use a program like http://www.piriform.com/recuva to recover them. DO NOT DO A SYSTEM RECOVERY OR THEY WILL BE LOST FOREVER
The files aren't really delete -- the operating system just updates its little table of locations to articulate "this space is now vacant" and nil else happens until that space is moderately or completely overwritten.

So first and foremost, you should refrain from downloading any fresh content, and (if you really want to maximize your chances) turn off your computer entirely.

Next, you'll involve to find someone who specializes in recovering delete files from your computer. A technician at a computer shop can probably get you started, or at least possible point you in the right direction.

The sturdy part will be sorting through adjectives the file fragments subsequent and trying to piece together what you've lost -- assuming the whole project can be found.

The probability aren't in your favor. If it's a small project, and you don't want to (or can't) spend money on a solution, your option are limited. You should, by rights, cram to back your work up more repeatedly, and to keep separate backup.
I use Restoration or Recuva.
