You can not actually recover them (I think). The aim they have the recycle bin is so that you dont atomatically delete them when you hit the "delete" button.
Just double-click on your trashbin and you'll see the files still contained by there. Thankfully, items surrounded by your trash aren't actually delete until you "empty" it.
