HELP!:( how do i recover my delete files or lossed files?

when i went to recover my delete files it reinstalled vista instead of bringing back my delete files. now i am worried i will never go and get them back.also my glorious school essay is delete too and it took me almost a week to finish so i am almost over do. please help me.

Same piece happened to me second term and I have to re-do an essay from memory and a few scraps of summary! If you have a back-up profile, you can retrieve the info from it, - if not, you'll own to bite the bullet and start over. (I have a back-up since it happen to me!)
