Problems after a system recovery - installed software don't work anymore.?
I did a non-destructive system recovery using the Windows recovery disk on a Dell Dimension 4600, I have Microsoft Office installed in the past the recovery, but now Microsoft Office is not shown within installed programs in control panel and if I click the Microsoft Office application I've get an error message that this software need to be installed again.
Since physically I enjoy the Microsoft Office Installed with the complete folder structure available in the not easy disk, how could I fix this problem for Windows XP to open my applications on Microsoft Office again?
Answers:
If it does not show surrounded by Control Panel, it is NOT installed.
Microsoft Office is not included in Windows and is a separate disc. It isn't included in your Dell recover disk.
That happen to me when I reformatted, and I couldn't find my Office CD. Dell considered necessary me to pay for Office 2007 even though my imaginative was Office 2003.
Luckily I be able to eventually find my Office 2003 compact disc and install it and use the registration code on it.
Basically, you need to find your Microsoft Office compact disc and re-intall it or you won't have it. If you don't own it any more, there is other the option of getting open out office which is a free organization program that has most of one and the same features as Microsoft Office.
Don't bother calling Dell, they will just relay you that you have to purchase it over again after sending you from entity to person.
Good luck!
