File recovery software?
I saw some in stores, are they working for HD single or for both HD and SD, compact flash card too?
They recovery files and pictures are limited to only just deleted or can they recovery delete many years ago surrounded by same HD or SD cards?

They work on both as long as the data hasn't be written over.
I reccommend Recuva (pronounced "recover"), it is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have be accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files empty from the Recycle bin as well as imagery and other files that have be deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players.
