My dvdrom stoped working after recovery,tried reinstalling software hardware but no results any concept?

it's a hp pavilion a305w desktop & i bought a dvd rom for it when i bought the pc its a liteon dvdrom drive (with atap/e-ide interface 16x) & after i made system recvery my dvd's even audio cd's be not doing anything but when i put in a background cd it works fine if i go to mycomputer it shows waht the cd is, itried reinstalling the drive software by downioading it from liteon and tried reinstalling the hardware by device arranger but still the same it 's sometimes even construct the computer freeze trying to run the cd, if somebody has an perception but some ? feel free to email me

If your computer is worn-out properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

Hmmmm, i come up with you might be able to find a patch for that, also double check the settle cables are on right and not backwards. I'd look for drivers online instead of sour of the cd, sometimes they dont work. hope i helped!
