Need serve from those whom enjoy used Partition Table Doctor and most Recovery Softwares...?

I mistakenly powered off my laptop while Partition Table Doctor have almost finished making my windows XP to reboot. As a result of this I've didn't bring back a System disk error message indicating it needs reformatting but I've get a "_" blinking at top-left of my screen. Not so sure what've happen but I know I see my ext# partitions in a minute (my Ubuntu7.10 liveCD OS now see my linux partitions but I regard as some error have come to my window partitions as they can't be see containing my normal files as back... I won't reformat my windows drive unless I'm completely sure I can't recover these screen process error... please help me :c
"> I imagine that your MBR is corrupted. The evidence supporting this is that you are able to see your partition using linux live CD. The common sense you are not able to see the window partitions is that solely. You may try one of the following-

1. boot from xp cd and go into recovery console.
type "fixmbr" and press enter.
press yes and verbs.
2. if this doesnt work then boot from a DOS Diskette.
use this software- "testdisk" by Cristophe Grenier.
the software is reasonably popular and will be available free of cost once u google it. I dont remember the link(Sorry!!).
But this S/W is really good at recovering lost partition.[ It has save me atleast 10 times and my GF's system Too:-) ].
Should work...
